Summary
◆The fourth meeting of the Follow-up Meeting on Review of Market Segments was held on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and after hearings from market participants, discussions were held.
◆At the center of this discussion was the approach to transitional measures, including the termination period.
◆Seven members stated that the end date was March 2025, three years after April 2022, when the market restructuring took place, and one member stated that the end date was March 2024, two years later.
◆Opinions were presented, but nothing was decided at the meeting. It was indicated at the first meeting that discussions should be finalized around the second half of the year after the establishment of the committee (within 2022 or by the beginning of 2023).
